Once you have added and ordered your files and rules, you are now ready to rename the files. But before you rename your files, you might want to preview the changes first. This will prevent you from accidentally making irreversible changes to your files
Previewing changes
Pay attention to the Live Preview panel. This panel generates a live preview of all the files as the rules are applied to them
Tip
You can preview specific rules by pressing the Checked Rules Only button (
). When selected, the live preview will apply only the checked rules in the Rules panel. This will allow you to troubleshoot issues with your rules
Renaming files
Now that your ready to rename your files, click the start button (
Start) in the main toolbar. It’s as easy as that!
If you want the program to do a little more than just rename the files, click the arrow beside the the Start button, and click Start and… (
). Here you can choose to keep the original files, close the program or shut down the PC when completed
